Website traffic for October 2009

Number 10 has released its monthly update on website traffic.
The information gives a fuller picture of the number of users the site generates and the pages viewed.
Traffic for October 2009
In October, Parliament returned from recess and Prime Minister’s Questions began again. The PM continued his work towards December’s Copenhagen climate conference by speaking at the Major Economies Forum, taking part in Blog Action Day and taking part in negotiations at the EU Council in Brussels.
The PM also visited Lancashire and the Wakefield and Bradford area. Back at Number 10, the PM met winners of the Pride of Britain awards and hosted a reception to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Other statistics of note
Downing Street’s followers on Twitter continued to grow, passing 1.5 million during October (1.53 million as of 2 November). Views of videos on our YouTube channel passed four million (4.01 million on 2 November) and views of individual photos on Flickr were about 53,000 for the month, and have been viewed a total of 845,467 times by 2 November.
