Toxic cloud may be responsible for animal deaths

By JE Sved on January 7, 2011

LONDON (Herald de Paris) – It is alarming the number of excuses being given for the animals that have been dropping dead since New Year’s Eve; washing ashore; and falling from the skies. ¬†Surely science can not be this daft. ¬†Is it ignorance? ¬†Or does someone not want you to know what is really going on? ¬†Let’s take a look.

The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission blames the sudden mass death of 5,000 red-winged blackbirds on … fireworks. ¬†They went on to explain that blackbirds have poor vision, and flew into a New Year’s celebration. ¬†The Arkansas explanation, however, failed to address the birds that similarly died en masse in Kentucky, Tennessee, and Louisiana, around the same time. ¬†Surely Arkansas blackbirds with bad eyesight did not fly into a fireworks display, then glide gently to other states to expire.

At almost the exact same time, approximately 100,000 drum fish washed ashore along a 32 mile stretch of the Arkansas River. ¬†Arkansas authorities immediately denied a connection. ¬†‚ÄúWe don’t see any possible way they’re related,‚ÄĚ said Mark Oliver of the state’s fish and game commission. ¬†They blamed the mass death of the drum on disease.

This would imply two things. ¬†First, every drum contracted the exact same disease at the exact same time. ¬†Diseases¬†don’t work like that. ¬†So, too, it would imply that fish are much less healthy, but have much better eyesight than local blackbirds.

In Maryland, that state’s Department of Environment issues a decree that nearly 2 million fish that washed up on its shores all died because of a spell of cold weather, and a sudden drop in the temperature. ¬†While excessively low temperatures have been recorded in the Chesapeake Bay in the past 45 days, the Spot Croaker species typically enters the Chesapeake in December, so they tolerate a normally cold temperature range.

In the United Kingdom, 40,000 velvet swimming crabs washed ashore, also dead, ¬†in Kent, England, much to the horror of gawking coastal Brits, and equally to the delight of the local gull population. ¬†”This shows just how much severe weather can disrupt marine life, as well as our own lives,” Tony Child, a spokesman for the Thanet Coast Project.

But then reports began filtering in from other countries. ¬†A mass fish kill in Brazil, and mass deaths of birds and fish in Sweden, Italy, Japan, Thailand, New Zealand, and elsewhere. ¬†But New Zealand boasts temperatures annually 2-3¬ļC warmer than usual because of oceanic currents. ¬†So there goes the frozen fish theory.

Weather, alone, has not been blamed. ¬†Kerry Sheridan, a writer for Agence France Presse (AFP) suggested astronauts could be testing a potent sound beams to ward off aliens, or that the US military experimenting with satellite-powered energy weapons. ¬†And, of course, many are pointing to Bible verse, Hosea 4:1-3: “The land dries up, and all who live in it waste away; the beasts of the field, the birds in the sky and the fish in the sea are swept away.”

Then there’s that pesky Mayan doomsday calendar, but I ask you – did the world end on December 31st, 2010 simply because your calendar ran out of pages? ¬†Of course not. ¬†So let’s look at a more¬†plausible¬†explanation.

On December 16th, 2010, the circulation of the atmosphere swirled backwards against the jet stream over North America, as colder air rushed down through the center of the United States, while tropical Pacific air entered the Southwest.  This seems to have upset something in the upper atmosphere.  Hold that thought.

The jet stream normally moves air masses through our atmosphere predominantly from West to East, with subtle variations. ¬† December 28-31, Arkansas experienced what locals called, “Crazy weather,” heavy rains, and unseasonable tornadic activity caused, at least in-part, by the swirling effects of the “backwards” incident of December 16th.

Where does that unsettled air mass go next?  Generally Eastward, and what is East of Arkansas?  Among other places Kentucky, Tennessee, and Maryland.  Several days later, after crossing the Atlantic Ocean, that same air mass spreads out over Europe, and dips back down into the Asian Pacific possibly encountering the UK, Sweden, Thailand, and New Zealand along the way.

It seems logical then that the same mass of air has been in-place in the general vicinity of every fish and marine massacre of the past 9 days, and the correlation between the air and the water can be explained as simply as rainfall.  Please recall that the atmosphere and large bodies of water are forever tied together by the water cycle, the single element that creates the conditions to sustain life as we know it on our planet.

Why isn’t this being reported globally? ¬†Everyone is testing the fish, the crabs, and the birds, when clearly there is ample probable cause to assume that there is something going on in an air mass that is circling the belt of our planet. ¬†Is anyone testing that air mass?

Ask yourself – what could possibly be in the atmosphere that could be toxic enough to kill off these tender species’ en masse? ¬†I can think of two events in 2010 that could offer an answer.

BP’s Gulf of Mexico fiasco comes to mind. ¬†BP, in its¬†infinite¬†wisdom, burned millions of gallons of toxic crude oil and caustic “dispersant” into our atmosphere. ¬†”We fixed the water,” they explained. ¬†Please recall that it rained oily rain in New Orleans, last summer, as evidence that when you burn oily toxic chemicals they have to go somewhere, and come back down somewhere else. ¬†And what they burned was nothing to ignore. ¬†The labels on the drums of BP-developed dispersant specifically said that their product should not be breathed or handled without protective gear. ¬†Nevertheless, they were permitted to loft this chemical into our atmosphere.

The second event to affect our atmosphere globally were the air traffic-disrupting eruptions of Iceland’s Eyjafjallaj√∂kull Volcano. ¬†From April 14th to May 21st, Eyjafjallaj√∂kull disrupted more air travel around the world than anyone or anything since World War II, with two magnificent phases of ash plume. ¬†In all, the Icelandic volcano vaulted 250 million cubic metres of caustic Tephra into the atmosphere, the very same material that has in our recorded past caused what are generally called, “Volcanic Winters,” sustained periods of significantly colder weather across the globe.

Despite our global knowledge of both events, in researching for this article I found no evidence that any scientific organisation anywhere on the planet has conducted any study or experiments to explain what the result might be of a possible convergence of volcanic tephra, unrefined crude oil, and highly toxic, man-made chemical dispersant in our upper atmosphere.

Nevertheless, the laboratory of common sense seems to point all its findings to a single, highly toxic mass of air circling the globe in our upper atmosphere, and for which our species is at least partially to blame.

What would make a highly toxic air mass stay together and not be dispersed globally throughout the atmosphere ? The volcanic winters you reference are actually only possible because of particulate dispersal over wide areas, and because they do not maintain a localized concentration.

What would make a highly toxic air mass pass through the US and kill only specific populations in a few specific localities ? It would seem that if it was indeed that toxic, it would be manifest in many other instances of widespread unexplainable illness in both animals and humans.

If this was the result of two highly toxic incidents occurring months ago, why did we not see any effects before now ?

Elizabeth Cohn January 7, 2011

I agree with your reasoning, although–shame on you–you are fudging the facts somewhat! The Arkansas kills were at least a day apart, and fireworks was NOT the explanation. The explanation was that a celebratory cannon was set off immediately underneath a tree where red-winged blackbirds were roosting, and they were startled into flight, then died of the blast trauma. I am intrigued ( pun intended!) that you have missed a key point: that a supply of mustard gas from World War I was destroyed in Arkansas at about the time of the kills. I think that fact warrants more examination. (As for the fish kills in the Chesapeake, they are NOT uncommon, and in this case involved juveniles. Overpopulation of juveniles is a factor.)

Jes Alexander January 7, 2011

Excellent questions, “Paleo.” It seems that the jet stream event on December 16th disrupted the normal flow and may have dragged something out of the upper atmosphere that otherwise has been hovering above most ordinary weather systems, as seen in the unusually late-season vertical activity (tornadoes). Why would it stay together? I don’t know, but I don’t think anyone does – the point of the article was to suggest that maybe someone should find out what happens when these compounds are brought together. Why only specific populations? I can’t answer that. Why specific locations? I think the answer might lie in when the vertical ceiling was penetrated, and when there was active precipitation that reached the ground.

Jes Alexander January 7, 2011

Actually, Elizabeth, if you look at the stories written, fireworks have been widely blamed for the Arkansas birds.

Christy January 7, 2011

You guys all seem to have good points, but to Jes— at least someone should test the theory. It irritates me that it all gets dismissed as “this happens all the time”, blaming cell phones and technology, saying we were previously just uninformed of such massive deaths. C’mon, visually impaired blackbirds flying into fireworks at night? By the thousands? Did the crabs in the UK bump into something too?
Then again, I live in Central California, and we’ve had large amounts of jellyfish wash ashore (not sure the time frame on that, could’ve been this last summer)…. for no explained reason, and to the dismay of many tourists and beachgoers.

OK, here’s a blurb on the massive amounts of jellyfish that washed ashore in San Francisco in Nov. 2010. Does this speak to the “it happens all the time” theory??

TOXIC GAS SEEMS LOGICAL, BUT I WOULD SUGGEST ANOTHER ISSUE I WOULD LIKE OUR SCIENTISTS TO LOOK AT. CONSIDER THE MADRID FAULT LINE, VOLCANO ERUPTIONS, SEEPING HYDROCLORIC GAS FROM
DEEP IN THE EARTH. INDICATIONS HAVE BEEN THAT THE GAS BUILD UPS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR BERMUDA TRIANGLE INCIDENTS, SHIPS SUDENLY SINkING (NO BOUYANCY) PLANES FALLING FROM THE SKY (NO
LIFT IN THE GAS ) .

THE GAS WOULD RISE, KILL FISH & OTHER SEA LIFE, KILL BIRDS & CONTINUE INTO ATMOSPHERE. JUST LUCK THAT NO PEOPLE HAVE YET DIED. ( OR HAVE THEY)???

kimberley January 7, 2011

but this doesnt address the blunt trauma the birds experianced. They were dead before hitting the ground in Arkansas due to blunt trauma

Bubba January 7, 2011

The death of the birds was in beebe arkansas, There was more than 1 species of birds killed. Sparrows were also found dead. This event took place in beebe arkansas Which is about 45 minutes south west of little rock. this event took place new years night. The drum fish were found On a 20 mile stretch of the arkansas river Between o z a r k and clarksville arkansas. These fish were found 2 days previous to the new years events That took place in beebe arkansas. Both cities clarksville and ozark are 1 hour and 45 minutes From beebe arkansas.

Jes Alexander January 7, 2011

“…dead before hitting the ground in Arkansas due to blunt trauma” <— How would anyone know this? Were they examining them during descent?

Jes Alexander January 7, 2011

Regarding blunt force trauma … I don’t buy it. Watch this early news report, which shows officials picking up the birds literally off the roads, and the roofs and yards of homes – I don’t see blunt force trauma, do you? Also concerning is that the US environmental folks insisted that air quality tests of the Beebe area were clear. Then why are the US environmental folks wearing HAZMAT suits and respirators? Very weird, indeed.

Jes Alexander January 7, 2011

Then, just a couple of days later, after conferring with federal officials at the NWS, the story has changed. Now there is an anomalous blip on the radar, and the birds died of blunt force trauma. It also says they were flying into houses, trees, and cars. Why would birds do this unless they were already sick and/or disoriented and already sick. In that case, the trauma of running into things would NOT be the cause of death. Regardless, it is a moot point as the earlier story, above, proves the birds “fell from the sky” and did not all hit something.

In regards to the theory that fireworks played a part in the death of the birds in Arkansas. I worked for our city on a team that regularly had to disperse blackbirds that had roosted within the city. Tens of thousands of roosting birds can make quite a mess on buildings and streets. In 10 years we dispersed the birds more than 6 times. Our procedure was to notify residents of our intent, go to the location of the birds and light of munitions, usually 3 times. The sound was much louder than any typical fireworks display. The noise startling the birds, causing their flight. If they lighted within the city we would do it again, and the process would continue until the birds lighted in a less populated area. Each time tens of thousands of birds flew in every direction but NEVER once did we see birds flying into objects or into each other or simply falling out of the sky. Nor did we have a report of dead birds within the city. The suggestion simply isn’t plausible.

Here’s what Paleo! There have been many effects from the BP Disaster since April 20th. However most have been kept out of the mainstream news. Thousands of people are very sick in the Gulf of Mexico due to spraying of dispersants, which still continues to this day. In addition, there have been massive fish kills up and down the east coast all summer long. You won’t find this information from watching CNN or Fox News because all the the damage that has been done to the environment, marine life, and the people, is being intentionally hidden. In the meantime, we have a president who is staging fake photo ops, swimming in the waters of the Gulf (later to be discovered, it was not the Gulf), staged dinners at the White House, main entree being Gulf Seafood (later discovered to be frozen seafood from months prior to the blowout) and a president who is working overtime, dishing out massive propaganda that everything is fine, the water is safe, vacation in the Gulf, and dine on the seafood. Now one thing I’ve learned is that Americans are complaisant, naive, and believe most of everything they see on their corporately owned national news, but it just takes a tad of critical thinking to realize that this is thee most scandalous, dangerous lies of our times. Despite Obama’s pleas, seafood isn’t moving as quickly as he had intented, resulting in the presidents so called “Plan B.” If Obama has his way, seafood will soon be incorporated into military, prisons, and public school meals. Lovely thought, isn’t it? Paleo, if you are not aware what is going on, it’s because you are looking in the wrong places or not looking at all.

By the way, to the author, great coverage. This make logical sense! Initially I would have presumed, military testing from the sinister US Govt, but I also found it suspiciously odd that there are no occurrences on the west coast. If the occurrences are due to the blowout/BP and Obama Disaster, it makes perfect sense due to the nature in which the Gulf Stream moves.

We’re talking about fish and birds this week, what about the decline in bees? I’m not a scientist but the answer is pretty obvious to me — these animals are magnetoreceptors. Is the shift in the magnetic field responsible for this?

Tim A January 8, 2011

From Sept 2010 to Jan 2011 there have been at least 30,000 birds fall ffrom the sky in the United States – the only one making the news was Ark – check the animal mortaility table put out by usgs = there are thousands of birds falling in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Utah, Dakotas,Tennessee, Florida – mostly ducks, geese, pelicans and gulls, interesting thing about the 100,000 fish is that the Arkasas river runs into the gulf of Mexico – OIL – then on the other hand there has been hundreds of high altitude planes “spraying something” over the gulf and basically the whole United States, What is it?? Reports say its aluminum particles? The talk here is geo engineering the weather? Yesterday here in Tennessee there were huge “brownish red clouds” unlike any I have ever seen, I think they contain OIL from the Gulf -

Sam Lewies January 8, 2011

I absolutely, completely agree that these toxic masses are having a bigger effect on our earth than what government is leading us to believe. I think we are going to see the effects of the BP rupture for years to come. I have to point to an article I just read and hopefully point to another conclusion.
“On average, 163 such events are reported to the federal government each year, according to National Wildlife Health Center records.” (Washington Post)

I have to ask, that maybe, because the nearing of the “2012 deadline” that some theorists have taken these occurrences and magnified them in order to promote a chaos theory. If these natural occurrences have in fact been going on for such a long period of time, then why are they only now being publicized so dramatically as the “aflockalypse”. Either way, someone is lying. Either it is a natural occurrence that’s been happening for years and is only currently being widely publicized by conspiracy theorists as a “scare factor” for the impending end of the world. Or there really has been a change, man made or natural, that is causing these world wide tragedies.

I am sticking with the fact that these “toxic clouds” are causing some, of not most, of these deaths. The oil had to rain down somewhere.

Jes Alexander January 8, 2011

Brownish-red clouds? PLEASE send me photos or video. I just heard yesterday that BP is still using dispersant in the Gulf. Of course they are – it is their product. I will have a look at the weather patterns later, and see if your weather system could have come from the gulf.

CAN ANYONE CONFIRM that BP is still burning surface oil?

marsha January 8, 2011

‚Äé”I conceive of nothing in religion, science, or philosophy that is more than something to wear, for awhile.” Charles Fort
Charles Fort, in the late 19th and early 20th centuries spent his life gathering reports of strange events, many of them involving fish, birds, odd things falling from the skies and how science often dismisses the hard to explain. His “Book of the Damned” (1918…?), brilliant and sly, investigates all the “facts” (many of them ridiculous) embraced and then dismissed by science – the “Parade of the Damned”. He believed in keeping an open, skeptical mind and was ridiculed for proposing that such things as ball lightening and fish raining from sky (both now verified by science, the fish caught up in water spouts and the like) could be real. He put forward many explanations for mysteries, proposing alien abductions and the like in a charming mix of mockery and the serious questioning of science, authority and our bizarre willingness to believe as a species. Fish kills, bird flocks plummeting, UFOs all fill his investigations and are nothing at all new; that we humans can cause them is quite likely. But they’ve been recorded and mentioned for thousands of years and well, if conspiracy theories turn you on – go for it!, Charles would say.
Someday hopefully the Fortean Party will nominate someone for President and that person will have my vote.

Chronic long term CO2 toxicity would affect animals in the following order based on metabolic rate. Bees, Bats, and then Small Birds. They would all be more affected during flight because of the increase in metabolic rate. Increased CO2 levels or more accurately carbonic acid in water will significantly lower the oxygen capacity of a body of water. Each species of fish has a different oxygen level requirement so en mass deaths of fish of the same species are very common.

It would cause loss of appetite, dizziness, disorientation and a host of other problems. Birds would become dizzy while flying disoriented and eventually hit the ground or other obstructions causing blunt trauma. You would expect to find some alive with broken wings. They would otherwise appear normal because at the time of location they would have a lowered metabolism and the effects of toxicity would no longer be present.

Ursula January 9, 2011

I think this could also have to do with experiments with the worlds energy, radio waves, things like HAARP projekt. I don’t say they was it, but to me something like that would make a lot more sense, than the official attempts to explain this phenomena.

Some information’s about HAARP: http://www.haarp.alaska.edu/

has anyone noticed a connection between these recent natural phenomena of fish and animals dropping dead and the BP oil spill which occurred in april of last year? scientific studies have shown that the gulf loop has stalled, dramatically affecting water temperatures as far as europe. when the gulf loop stalled in june, i believe, of last year it was almost immediately apparent that the gulf stream is directly affected. the speeds and temperatures of the gulf stream have been diminished over the last several months causing the cold Labrador current to “run rampid” so to speak, in the Atlantic, without the natural balance of the warmer gulf stream, which in the winter, brings much warmth to a now very cold Europe. I dont know exactly what the connection but its obvious that the fish, not even a year after the oil spill, are continuing to see the deadly effects of the millions of gallons of poison put into our environment. The location and chronological series of events, along with geographical locations also lead me to believe that the two are connected. i think as opposed to the burning oil and volcanoes directly affecting our atmosphere and causing these unexplained deaths (which is also probable) the cause begins on the BP’s oil spills’ effect on the water, which in turn affects the atmosphere through Earth’s magnificent water cycle, possibly making a connection with the deaths of the birds as well. it wasnt just oil put into the water but a chemical (engineered by, who else? BP) called corexit that was used to make us believe that the effects of the oil spill are a thing of the past. the combination of the dispersant chemical and the petroleum from the deep sea well, in my opinion, is the cause of the gulf and oceanic disaster that is just beginning to show any effects. so in an attempt to cover up their mistake and once again fool the general public into believing that our government, and the people in charge, will take care of us has caused what may come to be the biggest environmental disaster you or i have ever witnessed.

NATURAL SELECTION
Dead crabs and fish wash up on shores, birds drop from the skies, and cows flop in the fields.
One hundred and fifty one years ago, Charles Darwin and Alfred Russel Wallace knew that birds dropping from the skies, dead fish and crabs washing up from the sea, and cows flopping in the fields, are nature‚Äôs spectacular staging of what Darwin termed natural selection. Darwin wrote, ‚ÄúAs many more individuals of each species are born than can possibly survive; and as, consequently, there is a frequently recurring struggle for existence, it follows that any being, if it vary however slightly in any manner profitable to itself, under the complex and sometimes varying conditions of life, will have a better chance of surviving, and thus be naturally selected. From the strong principle of inheritance, any selected variety will tend to propagate its new and modified form.‚ÄĚ
“It may metaphorically be said,” Darwin wrote, “that natural selection is daily and hourly scrutinizing, throughout the world, the slightest variations; rejecting those that are bad, preserving and adding up all that are good; silently and insensibly working, whenever and wherever opportunity offers….We see nothing of these slow changes in progress, until the hand of time has marked the lapse of ages, and then so imperfect is our view into long-past geological ages, that we see only that the forms of life are now different from what they formerly were.”
Wallace wrote, ‚ÄúAn antelope with shorter or weaker legs must necessarily suffer more from the attacks of the feline carnivora; the passenger pigeon with less powerful wings would sooner or later be affected in its powers of procuring a regular supply of food . . . If, on the other hand, any species should produce a variety having slightly increased powers of preserving existence, that variety must inevitably in time acquire a superiority in numbers. . . . Now, let some alteration of physical conditions occur in the district ‚ÄĒ a long period of drought, a destruction of vegetation by locusts, the irruption of some new carnivorous animal seeking “pastures new” . . . it is evident that, of all the individuals composing the species, those forming the least numerous and most feebly organized variety would suffer first, and, were the pressure severe, must soon become extinct.‚ÄĚ
In experiments conducted in the department of obstetrics at the Columbia Medical School in the 1920′s, Raphael Kurzrock and Charles Lieb noticed, that when they attempted artificial insemination the uterus often expelled the semen. They found that human seminal fluid could affect the state of contraction of strips of muscle from the uterus, either contracting or relaxing them. They remarked in a paper published in 1930 that the history of the patients from whom the muscle strips were obtained made their experiments even more intriguing. Muscle from patients with a history of successful pregnancy responded to semen by relaxing, while semen always induced contractions in uterine muscle from women with a history of long acting sterility. This suggested to Kurzrock and Lieb the presence of factors in semen and uteri that differentiate between infertility and fertility. After studying this paper on numerous occasions, I realized that these factors are also those of natural selection.

In the early 1930′s, Maurice Goldblatt in the United States and Ulf von Euler in Sweden showed that factors in the seminal fluid of boars act on various smooth muscles and lower blood pressure. Von Euler named these substances “prostaglandins” because the prostate contains small amounts of them, and he assumed that what he had extracted from semen must have come from that gland. Today we know that every cell manufactures prostaglandins, or other members of the eicosanoid family.
Prostaglandins are ephemeral, infinitesimal, and powerful molecules that signal throughout each cell, from cell to cell, organ to organ, brain to body, body to brain, and body to environment. Prostaglandins are not produced under resting conditions, but only in response to stimuli. If the enzymes that produce and degrade prostaglandins are resilient, they can absorb stress. and continue to function physiologically; if not, physiology becomes pathology.

At the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sune Bergstrom purified several prostaglandins, determined their chemical structure, and showed that they are formed from essential fatty acids. After collaborating with Bergstrom from 1959-1962 on the structure of prostaglandins, Bengt Samuelsson provided a detailed picture of arachidonic acid and prostaglandin metabolism, and defined the chemical processes involved in their synthesis and breakdown. Samuelsson showed that platelets convert arachidonic acid to thromboxanes (TX’s), while white blood cells convert it to leukotrienes (LT’s). Thromboxanes constrict blood vessels and cause platelets to clump together and release more clotting factors. This is useful when clotting is necessary to stop bleeding; when this mechanism is overactive, it plays a pivotal role in heart attacks and strokes. And thromboxanes directly stimulate the smooth muscles of blood vessels to contract, including those of the heart and brain.

At Oxford University in the mid-sixties, Sir John Vane and his colleagues developed the cascade superfusion bioassay technique for measurement of the release and fate of vasoactive hormones in the circulation or in the perfusion fluid of isolated organs. In 1971 Vane made the fundamental discovery that anti-inflammatory compounds such as aspirin block the formation of prostaglandins and thromboxanes. Later Vane and Salvador Moncada isolated a prostaglandin in the wall of blood vessels and named it prostacyclin (PGI2). In dilating blood vessels and inhibiting the aggregation of platelets, prostacyclin opposes the actions of thromboxanes. In some countries patients with such vasoconstrictive disorders as Raynaud’s disease, peripheral vascular disease and pulmonary hypertension, whether spontaneous or caused by certain appetite suppressants, are treated with infusions of synthetic prostacyclin. For their pioneering research on prostaglandins, Bergstrom, Samuelson and Vane were awarded the Nobel Prize in Medicine in 1982.
.
Prostaglandins orchestrate cognitive, emotional, behavioral, physiological, pathological, and reproductive responses to the environment, the latter including heat, cold, gravity, gases, humidity, light, dark, sound, electromagnetic fields, water, venom, microorganisms, and food. Electromagnetic fields regulate enzymes directly, and indirectly, by acting on cell membranes.

In Arkansas, thousands of red-winged blackbirds dropped dead out of the sky. 100,000 drum fish died in the Arkansas River, birds in Louisiana and Kentucky . Pundits allowed that the birds died of blunt trauma to their organs and blood clots, resulting from a midair collision instigated by the sound of fireworks. Devil crabs, sardines, croaker, catfish, bream, carp, roach fish, starlings, Cowbirds, and jackdaw crows perished in their hundreds, thousands or millions. More than two hundred cows dropped dead in a field in Wisconsin. The blackbirds showed no signs of trauma or infection, but did have evidence of bleeding and clotting, indicating that thromboxane synthase, the enzyme that synthesizes thromboxane B2, was induced by environmental stress, the enzyme a variant Darwin and Wallace had in mind. .In other sudden deaths, induction of an enzyme in the prostaglandin pathway was probably responsible. Emil Zuckerkandl and Linus Pauling advanced the idea that enzymes, they referred to a semantides, fulfill the functions of biological clocks, changing slowly over time.

Could this tragic fate befall humans? It has, throughout evolutionary history, and often, in the form of epidemics and pandemics. Individuals whose prostaglandin E2 production resisted viruses’ attempts to increase it survived, those unable to resist perished. Increased synthesis of prostaglandin E2 causes both depression and defective immune function, and depressives constitute a substantial segment of society. At the moment, a retrovirus, a variant of a virus, has taken thirty million lives. A glycoprotein in the envelop of HIV, stimulates the enzyme converting arachidonic acid to prostaglandin E2, well beyond other viruses, prostaglandin E2 the most powerful endogenous immunosuppressant known,. Natural selection differentiates between reproduction and sterility, survival and extinction. Of the altered physical condition responsible for the mass deaths, rapid movement of the Magnetic North Pole towards Russia has the edge.

You asked what would make a highly toxic aiir mass stay together and not be disbursed throughout the atmosphere ?
Answer: The Jet stream. A hot air balloon inadvertently caught up and inside the Jetstream can move with the Jetstream with little to no buffetting. Truly a phenomenon to behold. How can a balloon cover the ground at hundreds of miles per hour ? Indeed, How could Arnold Palmer traverse the Atlantic at 800 mph in a 500 mph Learjet ? The Jet stream.
