SNAPSHOT JOURNAL: “Dust La Rock” Solo Show

By Julia Chesky on April 26, 2009

NEW YORK (Herald de Paris) - This past Thursday evening, the Christopher Henry Gallery presented 18 original pieces by Joshua Prince (a.k.a. “Dust La Rock”), in his first solo show.  Prince is the art director at Fools Gold Records, creating iconic album covers for artists like A-Trak, Kid Sister, and Kid Cudi.

“Best of the Beast,” featured mixed media pieces depicting notions of demonic and divine creatures, mixing familiar religious symbolism with Princes signature comic sensibility on canvas. The lower section of the gallery featured demonic like hands breaking apart and playing eerie keyboards made up of fingers and eyes.
