Jill Stuart seeing stars with Fall09 collection @ NYFW

NEW YORK (Herald de Paris) - Jill Stuart showed in the New York Public Library, just behind the pearly white tents of the official fashion week. The main entrance hall was packed with socialites Nicky and Paris Hilton, actresses Michelle Trachtenberg, 90210’s Jessica Stroup, Kristen Bell, Amanda Bynes, and Tatum O’Neil, as well as the usual fashion crowd. For Fall Winter 09 Stuart seems to have forgotten that this season brings in the cold, and her signature short dresses and floral prints made it seem like she was hoping for global warming.
Purple and cream are the must have color combination for the Jill Stuart girl, from the rocker chic purple lids to the purple party dresses and shiny blazers, there were lots of shades of purple. But it was cream that dominated as much as the black. Cream is the new black?
There was a lot of rocker chic thrown in for the girls that don’t subscribe to girly school of dress, but want feminine touches, especially with lace. Crushed velvet blazers and a few coats did make an appearance between the miles of legs. After all, a socialite must have something covering her when she goes from car to event in that tiny floral dress.
