      PALM BEACH (Herald de Paris) —  Palm Beachers traveling to Cuba will find a familiar face in the Havana skyline.  The Hotel de Nacional de Cuba, built in 1930 and designed by the well-known New York architectural firm of McKim, Mead, and White, was heavily influenced by the design of another hotel, The Breakers, designed in 1925 by another famous New York firm, Schultze and Weaver.

      WEST PALM BEACH (Herald de Paris) —  The Ann Norton Sculpture Garden hosted a community exhibition, with automotive historian-curated tours this past weekend, followed by Vintage Cars and Classic Cocktails later that evening.  It was a beautiful day to admire some of the most beautiful cars ever designed, all artfully restored by their owners, but the Ann Norton Sculpture Garden, as well as the cars, were a step beyond as the sun set at Norton House, along the banks of Lake Worth.

    • “Alice in Wonderland” wins annual Halloween costume contest at Cafè L’Europe

      PALM BEACH (Herald de Paris) —  Cafè L’Europe hosted its annual Halloween Costume Party Contest Tuesday evening.  Much of the crowd came to win, and the costumes, the music, and the fun did not disappoint.  Among the contestants were several annual participants, but there were some newcomers, as well.  Cafè L’Europe solidified is hold on the title of THE place to be in Palm Beach, on Halloween night.
